It’s been a privilege to serve as Member of Parliament for Southampton Test for 22 years now. I’ve had some tough decisions to make, but I’ve always worked to get the best deal for our city I’ve always put Southampton first.
This election is one of the most important in a generation. Of course it will decide what happens with Brexit but it will also decide whether we have the opportunity to tackle the Climate Emergency and start re-building our country after years of Conservative neglect.
If re-elected on December 12th I would continue as a strong voice for Southampton, standing up for our cities schools and hospitals in Parliament. I would continue my work on energy and climate change and developing policies to tackle the climate emergency. I would also support any Brexit deal being put to the people and I would in that instance campaign for Remain.
Perhaps most importantly I would continue to support thousands of my constituents who contact me week in week out. Many of them have been devastated by Conservative cuts to services and the roll out of Universal Credit. They desperately need a Labour government.
