Born and raised in Furness, with an in-depth understanding of the challenges and possibilities for our unique peninsula.

I'm standing because Furness deserves much more. Furness deserves an MP who cares and understands the needs of its locals, its businesses, and its infrastructure. Living here all my life, dedicating three decades to serving the community has given me a good insight into those needs. I'm committed to working hard and being honest about where I stand, prioritising residents and their concerns.

Fourteen years of Conservative government have brought huge cuts in funding to Barrow and Furness, leaving communities and town centres hollowed out and left behind, with an ever expanding gap of inequality. They now offer a small fraction of what should have been delivered over those years with “levelling up”, forcing communities to battle each other for funds.

My drive in life is Community. I believe it's the bedrock of a lot of the best things in life and when we work together, we can achieve incredible things.

I've found that the links between my many roles, businesses, levels of government and community groups is the key to producing results. With a Labour MP and Labour government we can deliver. If elected, I will work to deliver the enormous potential we have here in Furness.
