Personal Statement

I’m Bolton born and bred. My Dad was a paramedic on Belmont Road, and my first job was working for the NHS at Bolton Hospital at a time when the last Labour government made record investment into our health service.

Yet after 14 wasted years, this government has eroded our public services, hollowed-out our town centres and widened inequalities.

It doesn’t have to be like this. I have an ambitious, positive vision of a better Bolton West. One where power, wealth and opportunity are shared. Where everyone is able to realise their full potential, regardless of your background.

People across Bolton West deserve so much better. With a Labour MP and a Labour government, I know that together we can tackle the cost-of-living crisis, ensure investment in our towns, fix rising crime and the address the NHS backlog. That’s why I want to carry on my family’s tradition of public service in Bolton, as your MP.

If elected, I’ll work with our local community groups, our councillors and with you to deliver on your priorities. And I’ll ensure you have a powerful voice in Westminster.
