Born and raised in a Dagenham council house, I was educated locally, and I have worked my entire life in Dagenham & Rainham. I was proud to be selected to stand for Labour here. There is no community I would rather represent. 
 
 I have managed the office of Jon Cruddas MP for fourteen years and his support means everything to me. Prior to this job I worked in insurance, in a call centre, and was also a barmaid at the Dagenham Trades Hall. I understand just how precarious work can be for people in areas like ours. That is why I am an active trade unionist and proud to be backed by giants of the labour movement.
 
 Dagenham & Rainham has a proud heritage, and it is important to me that we maintain a strong identity. I am fiercely proud of our area and will always lead from the front. Many of you already know me as someone who gets things done. 
 
 As your Prospective Labour Candidate, should I make it to Parliament, I will continue to champion council housing as I have always done, hold the police to account to help tackle crime in the area, and offer a new model of politics which puts our community at the heart of my vision for the future.
 
 The cost of living, decent jobs and pay, housing, and public services. The next election will be about living standards, security, and opportunity. I want all of you to have a voice. Together we can build the Dagenham & Rainham of the future.
