Lisa Robillard Webb is standing to be Labour MP for Central Devon to ensure that the voices of rural communities are properly heard in the national debate. Lisa's campaign focuses on asserting the problems faced by people living and working in the countryside, and the extent to which these have been created and exacerbated by austerity. She is particularly excited about a Green New Deal that could support well-paid jobs on the land in sustainable food production and land management informed by ecological principles.
Lisa is a self-employed provider of secretarial services and works part-time as a dinner lady at a local primary school. She campaigns actively to oppose academisation and improve local communities' access to high-quality education.
Lisa believes that communities acting in concert can effect tangible change for the better, and is determined to do everything she can to support them.
