am what I am because of who we are. Those are the values I was brought up with by my mum and dad, growing up and going to school in a small town in the South West of England. Those are the values that make up Ubuntu, a concept I saw in action as a volunteer working with young community leaders in Zambia. And those are the values that have led me to stand for election to parliament as a Labour candidate.
 
 I am delighted to be standing in the new constituency of Melksham and Devizes where Labour's missions will make a real difference after 14 years of this dreadful Conservative government.
 
 I currently work as a campaigner for animal welfare, working with citizens, communities and companies to make sure that this country continues to live up to our reputation as a nation of animal lovers. I will bring that experience of campaigning, influencing as well as kindness and compassion to Melksham and Devizes.
