The exchange has been very successful with the two schools now partner schools who conduct cultural exchanges every year.
Prior to her Master’s degree Nabila worked for the Labour party during the London council elections 2018 and her first graduate job was for a Chinese travel firm working as a Sales and Marketing Assistant. Last Christmas she worked in Royal Mail as a Christmas Casual in the sorting office and has been involved in Hemel Labour party working on the Dacorum Borough Council Elections campaign for 2019.
Speaking after the selection, Nabila Ahmed said:
“This Tory government has overseen the biggest cuts to our public services in a generation. The NHS and social care are in crisis, our schools are struggling under the weight of the budget cuts and cuts to police budgets are putting our safety at risk. “People here in Hemel Hempstead need a representative that will put them first. I will work tirelessly between now and the election to let local people know this general election will be a choice between a Labour Party that will stand up for the many or a Conservative Party that only looks after the privileged few”.
