The most important and indeed critical issue in this election is that of Climate Change I am pleased that we have given the Green New Deal such a high priority in our manifesto. We are the only party treating Climate Change with the seriousness it deserves and at the same time addressing the major issues of lack of investment in public infrastructure and the need to protect workers’ rights and their jobs.
We will invest in public services, bringing rail companies, energy supply networks and water supply systems into democratic public ownership, tackle the housing crisis by building 155,000 social rented houses each year, and we will ensure that the NHS receives the funds and the support needed to restore it to the standard our people deserve.
We will end austerity by increasing the minimum wage to £10 and putting an end to zero-hours contracts, and we will put a stop to the punitive Universal Credit benefits system.
We're a people-powered movement.
Be a part of it.
