Paul Davies is the Labour & Cooperative Party parliamentary candidate for Colne Valley.
Paul is from the mining village of Caerau, Wales where he began his career as an electrician in the coal mines and was an NUM rep. He would go on to attend Ruskin College with a Union bursary before attending Cardiff University and before a career in HR and Operations Management.
Paul has been a Labour Party member since he was 16 and in 2019, he became Labour's first councillor in Holme Valley South in over 2 decades. Since then, Paul has been appointed to the Cabinet of Kirklees Council where he led the response to the Covid-19 Pandemic and is leading on the current Cost of Living Crisis to support the most vulnerable.
