Personal Statement

Frank is Scottish Labour’s candidate for Coatbridge and Bellshill at the General Election.

Frank has lived in Bellshill all of his life. He attended local schools and was the first in his family to attend university. Frank has represented the communities of south Bellshill, Mossend and Holytown on North Lanarkshire Council since 2012, and he served as the authority’s Chair of Education and Children’s Social Work Services for six and a half years. In that time Frank heavily focused on tackling growing levels of child and family poverty. In 2018 Frank created Club 365, the first municipal programme in the UK to provide free meals and activities for children in the most need 365 days a year.
