I'm Labour's candidate in Sutton Coldfield at the next General Election. I grew up in Harborne, Birmingham, where friends and family still live. I'm a long-standing NHS campaigner and trade unionist.
My professional background is in campaigning and organising. I have successfully managed political campaigns in the South Wales Valleys, worked on legislation in the UK Parliament, and worked for the doctors' trade union leading the opposition to the hugely damaging Junior Doctor contract in 2016. I'm currently Head of Campaigns and Public Affairs for a leading membership organisation representing family doctors.
This election is not just about preventing a Boris Johnson Government intent on recklessly leading us out of the European Union. It's also about ensuring we end austerity, invest in our schools and hospitals and create a future for the many, not the few.
We're a people-powered movement.
Be a part of it.
