I am proud to be first generation Milton Keynes, the daughter of a ceiling fixer and community worker both of whom moved here to help build and shape the City. I was encouraged to be the first person from my family to go to University and I did this to Masters level.
I have lived in MK since I was a day old, I love this place, I'm now bringing my family up here and I think we have a bright future. However we do need change.
I am Deputy Leader of the Council and have been the Councillor for Woughton and Fishermead for 11 years, I have witnessed first hand the catastrophic decline in living standards, particularly for some of our most vulnerable communities, I have worked tirelessly with council colleagues to save services as we battled against £150m worth of cuts, austerity has taken it's toll here and no one can deny its impact.
We need representatives who understand Milton Keynes, who get these issues, we need a Government that will deliver real change for individuals and communities from day one. If you elect me as your MP I will fight every day for Milton Keynes, ensuring we get the change we need.
We're a people-powered movement.
Be a part of it.
