Lizzi Collinge is the candidate for the new Morecambe and Lunesdale constituency, having been selected by local members in September 2023. Lizzi was born near Blackburn but grew up in a small village in Cumbria. She moved to the area in 2005 and now lives in Heysham with her husband and two kids. 

A project manager by trade, Lizzi is an experienced representative having been elected to Lancashire County Council in 2016 where she now serves as Shadow Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing. Lizzi is also the Deputy Chair of Lancashire Health and Adult Services Scrutiny Committee. She is passionate about health and ensuring that health is considered in all areas of policy.

With a reputation for empathy, hard work and tenacity, Lizzi enjoys widespread support across the new constituency. After her selection Lizzi said: “I hope to win people’s trust to represent them in Westminster and to help deliver the change our country so desperately needs. People are fed up of public services that are run into the ground and an economy that doesn’t work for them, especially when the Government doesn’t seem to care about basic decency and honesty. People have been badly let down.

“People in Morecambe and Lunesdale deserve an MP who will fight their corner and I plan to be a great constituency MP.”

In her spare time Lizzi is a keen gardener, growing her own fruit and veg and making her own preserves.
