Candidate for
North Cotswolds
Anna Mainwaring
Personal Statement
The Cotswolds is my home and where I have raised my family. I am a journalist and TV producer. I’ve worked for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. I’ve also been a union leader for the NUJ and represented journalists across the country. When my son was younger I was a school governor at his local primary school here in the Cotswolds. It is an honour to have the opportunity to represent this beautiful area where I live. North Cotswolds is a fantastic place and deserves an MP who will represent it with pride and put its residents first. I want to use my skills and experience to make a real difference to people’s lives here. We need to tackle the cost of living crisis, create better quality jobs locally, protect our green countryside and tackle the climate emergency. We need to invest in our towns and high streets, stand up for small businesses and our farmers. We also need to ensure our schools and the NHS are fit for purpose. My job would be to serve you and raise your concerns in Westminster if elected as your MP. If you live in North Cotswolds and want to get in touch please don’t hesitate to contact me for a chat, raise an issue, or to ask any questions.
