I’m Francyne Johnson. I worked as a youth and community worker in the north of Sheffield and live locally with my family and five-year-old daughter.
My grandad was a miner, my dad was a self-employed builder and my mum is a WASPI woman who has lost 7 years of her pension as a result of this Conservative government after working hard all her life.
I have a track record of standing up for people, here in Penistone and Stocksbridge, successfully fighting Conservative cuts to NHS services and securing investment for our area.
The choice in this election is very clear: Boris and 5 more years of Tory austerity or a local Labour MP who understands our communities and what life is like for most people.
This election is our last chance to rescue and rebuild our public services and infrastructure after nearly a decade of Tory austerity.
Talking to people in our community I know people feel let down by politics and politicians who aren’t representative. I’m standing because I want to make our community and our country a better place for the future and for our children’s generation. I understand everyday Yorkshire life and will fight for our community every step of the way.
