I am delighted to say I am standing to be the Labour Member of Parliament where I grew up in South Northamptonshire.
I was brought up in Potterspury, and I attended the local secondary school in Deanshanger, spent much of my time in Towcester Library. So for me it's a real honour to represent my home and to have the opportunity to give back to my community - a community that gave me so much. By standing up for South Northamptonshire and the people that helped shape me, and working for you, I can make a difference to where we work and our families live.
Bringing the community together and fixing ordinary people's problems are what I love about being a local representative; you get to change real people’s lives for the better.
I believe that South Northamptonshire should have someone who knows the area, and someone who is determined to fight for ordinary people and ordinary families.
Andrea Leadsom and the Tories have let down the people of the country and the people of South Northamptonshire; they aren't taking care of the NHS, social care, local transport, or our schools, and the Conservatives in County Hall have mismanaged the County finances, leading to local councils failing while they concentrate on other people and other places.
We're a people-powered movement.
Be a part of it.
